Get the kids outside and on the water for a fun day of fishing, competition, and conservation! The Kids for Conservation Fishing Tournament is designed to introduce young anglers to the excitement of fishing while teaching them the importance of protecting South Carolina’s coastal resources for generations to come.
Grab your fishing pole, bring the family, and get ready to make some memories on the water! Whether they’re seasoned young anglers or casting a line for the first time, this tournament is all about having fun! Haddrell's Point Tackle will be providing the bait and volunteers will be available to help with tackle. S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) staff will be on-site for the official weigh-in and will bring an observation tank for kids to get an up-close look at some of the species they may encounter on the water.
Come for the fishing, stay for the fun, and leave with a greater appreciation for South Carolina’s coast!

Tournament Rules:
- Kids having fun is the priority!
- Ages: 3 - 16 years
- Fish must be caught on rod and reel
- Anglers must follow all State Fishing Regulations & laws
- Parent or Chaperone must be with kids at all times
- Any bait can be used (Artificial/ Live/ Frozen) Haddrell's Point will supply frozen bait

- Bingo Card: First three anglers to completely fill 3x3 card & bring to admission table

- Heaviest Fish Caught on an Artificial Lure (No Sharks or Stingrays)
